claims
Natural stone may vary in color, texture and veining. This is part of the beauty of natural material and should not be viewed as a difference in quality. Please note that small samples cannot represent the entire block of stone used in carving. All claims for damage must be made within 3 days of delivery. All claims for goods shipped by a third-party must be made with that company. kaha llc is not responsible for damage incurred during shipment to the job site.
shipping
kaha llc will provide shipping quotes as a service for our clients. Choice of shipping company used is client's responsibility. All shippers we work with provide insurance for an additional fee, upon request. We strongly recommend purchasing this coverage. All payments and claims should be made directly with the shipper. Clients must provide specific job site information for an accurate quote. Prices will vary according to size, weight and delivery location.
maintenance
kaha llc custom stone products are for use in either interior or exterior locations. Special care should be taken to protect any natural material. Upon request, we will seal exterior stone elements to protect against water absorption. We strongly recommend re-application of a quality sealant, easily applied by the client or their contractor (frequency of application will vary by climate and exposure). Interior stone elements do not require a sealant, except for protection from beverage, food or chemical stains. Prior to the winter frost, exterior stone fountains and other elements that incorporate water should be emptied and, when possible, covered. Small pieces can be stored for protection from extreme cold. The freeze-thaw cycle can worsen existing cracks in both limestone and marble. In these instances, please contact us for information about professional restoration and sealant application. With proper care, it is very easy to maintain beautiful stone elements for you and your family to enjoy for years to come.
